Kade Sutton: The streets are a lonely, dangerous place to live, but this is my penance, the path I was meant to take. Out here, a smile from a stranger is the simplest gift that means everything.

I knew what it meant.

It gave me warmth and hope as I sat on the sidewalk each day begging for food.

Daisy Ingles was the woman who gave me that gift, she was kind, beautiful and smart, but best of all, she loved my dog.

People like me never expect to be given the opportunity of a lifetime, one that could turn it all around, but there’s a catch, I have to betray the woman I’ve grown to care about.

Daisy Ingles: Reality TV is a duplicitous cess pit, run by vultures waiting to rake through the bones of their victims, and I’m right in the middle of it.  The only light in my day is the homeless guy, Kade who lives outside my office building.

He has a story, everyone does, but his haunts him, I can see those ghosts swimming in the bright blue of his eyes.

I never expected him to say yes to being the star of our show, but his one demand, that I go with him.

Everything tells me to say no, but I know he needs me. If I refuse, and he stays on the streets, it’ll be my fault.

Secrets, lies, love and betrayal, the perfect plot for a reality TV show, where even the best scripts writers couldn’t predict the fallout.

Review by Tara:

“The life I’d had was gone and now I had to go and put everything behind me. I needed to try and stop the nightmares that plagued me day and night.”
After a tragic loss, Kade decides to leave the only life he knows, and start somewhere new. However, he believes life had other plans for him, and Kade ends up living on the streets. When a friendly smile catches his eye, Kade feels lucky to make friends with Daisy. A helper by nature, Daisy cannot help the connection she feels toward Kade as their friendship grows. When Daisy’s boss “pushes” Daisy into helping her out, Kade is in the crosshairs. When reality becomes a farce, even a script cannot direct the new feelings Kade and Daisy form.
“Tonight, I knew I was going to rip her heart out and slice my own open in the process.”
Scripted Reality plays out just like a tv show. There are moments of laughter, shock and tugging on your heart strings. Nikki and Victoria work seamlessly together, creating the unique book which is Scripted Reality.
“People make bad decisions all the time; it’s how you learn from those decisions that defines the path your life takes. Forgiveness can happen, even if you give it to yourself. It doesn’t mean you forget and make the same mistakes again.”

Victoria Johns is a writer who enjoys sharing a happily ever after and believes that it’s every good girl’s dream to experience a steamy, hot one. Growing up in North West England in a large family surrounded by love and support she found her Prince Charming many years ago and enjoys living the life they’ve made with their son. Being a mum, wife and in full time employment means multitasking like a super power! When she’s not writing she’s overdosing on crisps, Rosé wine, trashy TV and raunchy reads.

Nikki lives in Cheshire with her husband, two dogs, and lovely mother-in-law who supplies her with endless cups of tea. She writes contemporary and romantic comedy romances and hopes that she puts a smile on her reader’s faces and a sigh in their heart. Her ambitions of becoming a writer started at the age of 10 when she started writing poetry at school and was given the honour of reading one of her poems to the rest of her year group (a truly embarrassing experience that she will never forget). Nikki is grateful for the wide variety of strange and wonderful people in her life, otherwise, she’d never know what to write about! She always takes a keen interest in family and friends, finding out their innermost secrets in readiness for her next book.
