I vowed never to return to my hometown and the people who live there. Now, unemployed and needing a place to live, I move back with my mom, promising myself that it’s only temporary.

When small-town charmer, Miles, thinks his charisma will work on me, he’s got another thing coming. I want nothing to do with him and what he represents in this town. He’s everything I ran from when I left and never looked back.

Miles is persistent in his pursuit, no matter how many times I turn him down. What could a guy like him want with a girl like me? We come from two different worlds—one where mine serves his.

But I need a job, and his family’s winery is the only place hiring. Working alongside him, I see a different side of him that I thought was nonexistent.

Hatred turns to curiosity, and soon I’m wondering if there’s more to the man I thought I knew growing up.

Meet the Author

Fabiola Francisco loves the simplicity—and kick—of scotch on the rocks. She follows Hemingway’s philosophy—write drunk, edit sober. She writes women’s fiction and contemporary romance, dipping her pen into new adult and young adult. Her moods guide her writing, taking her anywhere from sassy and sexy romances to dark and emotion-filled love stories.

Writing has always been a part of her life, penning her own life struggles as a form of therapy through poetry. She still stays true to her first love, poems, while weaving longer stories with strong heroines and honest heroes. She aims to get readers thinking about life and love while experiencing her characters’ journeys.

She is continuously creating stories as she daydreams. Her other loves are country music, exploring the outdoors, and reading.

Tara’s 5***** Review

“Things are different now, and I need to put on my big girl panties and embrace my hometown—jagged edges and all.”
Coming back to face your past is hard, and when June has to come home, to the one place she’s avoided, she has to learn to move on. But when Miles takes interest in her, June can’t help but wonder if her past is replaying itself. She puts up a fortress around her, not letting anyone in. But Miles has his sights set on June and will stop at nothing to get her.
“I’m spending too much time inside my head, revisiting old memories, and putting pressure on myself. It’s not worth it. I promised myself I’d overcome it and grow from it.”
Not So Charming is a love story that will tug on your heart strings. Most of us lived through a time with mean kids and harsh words. Listening to June’s story had my heart breaking for her, but wanting her to see how much she’s changed. Thinking that everyone was against her, her cold shoulder to Miles is frustrating, but once June sees that he’s never been as bad as she thought, your heart will do a little jig with joy! Fabiola is the master of creating towns filled with so much emotion and love! Willow Creek holds a lot of promise for another love story.
“Maybe coming home was less of a punishment and more of a blessing so I can finally release the past and live the life I want, actually figure out what that life is without insecurity holding me back.”
