Sophia Mason’s junior year of college isn’t exactly off to the best start. The semester has just begun, and the president of her sorority has already ousted her from the house. With nowhere else to turn, she ends up at her brother’s apartment—only to find it inhabited instead by a handsome stranger.

On paper, Drew Nolan doesn’t have much going for him as an uneducated bartender from a sketchy family. But when a spoiled rich kid asks Drew to take over his life so he can travel around Europe instead of attend classes, Drew sees the opportunity to get the college education he’s always dreamed of.

Forced into a cover-up under the same roof, Sophia and Drew forge an unlikely friendship. As the two grow closer, lines blur and boundaries stretch, and they find comfort in living the lie they’ve adopted. But reality comes knocking all too soon, and Sophia and Drew will have to weigh what’s worth fighting for and what should never ever have been.

Review by Julie

“You have twenty-four hours to get out.”

Sophia gets kicked out of her sorority house for breaking a rule and ends up having to move into her brother’s apartment, only it isn’t her brother that answers the door.

No the man who answers the door, definitely isn’t her brother.  Hunky Drew in fact agreed to pretend to be her brother Brody while he goes off travelling.

Sophie and Drew live and go to college together all the time pretending to be brother and sister.  Drew helps Sophie come up with a plan to try and get back into the Zeta Eta Chi sorority house.  The plan causes chaos, trouble and sees the pair growing closer and developing feelings that they shouldn’t be having.

“I shouldn’t be looking at you like I do or thinking the things I’m thinking”

I like these two, they are fun, sassy and have great chemistry. Sophie gets them into some really funny and awkward situations and Drew just goes along with it.  Neither one wants to be caught out about pretending to be siblings, everything is at stake.  All of this makes the book a really fun and enjoyable read.  I ready it fairly quickly as it flowed well.

Elizabeth Hayley’s joint writing is brilliant, but the cliffhanger at the end is a killer.  Please don’t make us wait too long for the next book.

Review by Tara

Don’t you just love it when you get sucked into a book in the first few pages? That’s what happened to me when I read Never Have You Ever.
“This was a pointless conversation because there was no way to go back in time and campaign for someone who wasn’t a power-hungry monster who ruled with estrogen and an iron fist.”
When Sophia needs a place to stay, her only option is with her brother. But when she arrives, she’s surprised at who’s behind the door. Drew has always had to work for things, and one thing he’s always dreamed of is going to college. When an unique opportunity lands in his lap, he takes it. But when a knock on his door changes everything, Drew must figure out what he really wants in life.
“I’d had a lot of friends in my life. But the warmth I felt staring at this particular friend—one I never would’ve found if it hadn’t been for my dumbass brother—was unlike anything I’d ever felt before.”
Elizabeth Hayley brings us an original storyline with Never Have You Ever. You will love Drew and Sophia, both separately and together! Each moment with them will have you laughing or clapping your hands. Their connection is amazing! Take a dip into college live with Never Have You Ever!
“I was single and therefore totally available to mingle. Sure, there was the awkward attraction to my pseudo–gay brother niggling in the back of my mind, like an annoying student raising her hand despite the teacher obviously ignoring her.”

Meet the Author

Elizabeth Hayley is actually “Elizabeth” and “Hayley,” two friends who love reading romance novels to obsessive levels. This mutual love prompted them to put their English degrees to good use by penning their own. They learned a ton about each other through the process, like how they clearly share a brain and have a persistent need to text each other constantly. They live with their husbands and kids in a Philadelphia suburb. Thankfully, their children are still too young to read.
